Alshon Jeffery's Week 3 Status In Question
5 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery (calf) is dealing with a calf strain after being injured on Sunday night in Week 2 against the Falcons, according to a source. His injury isn't serious, but the timing is bad and Jeffery's status for Week 3 against the Lions is in question. DeSean Jackson and Dallas Goedert also left the game early, so the Eagles were down to Nelson Agholor, rookie JJ Arcega-Whiteside and Mack Hollins in three-wide sets. Agholor was second behind Zach Ertz with 11 targets, catching eight passes for 107 yards and a touchdowns. He should be your top waiver addition this week if you need a receiver and he's available. In deeper leagues, Arcega-Whiteside and Hollins have intrigue as waiver pickups if Jeffery misses any games.
