Alexander Mattison Struggles On The Ground In Week 5
2 years agoMinnesota Vikings running back Alexander Mattison finished with only 19 yards off nine carries during the win over the Chicago Bears. He also added three receptions for 21 yards. Of course, Dalvin Cook led the way out of the backfield by rushing for 94 yards and two touchdowns off 18 attempts. Yet, since Mattison scored a touchdown in each of his previous two games, fantasy managers were expecting more than 2.1 yards per carry. Nonetheless, the 24-year-old remains arguably the best backup in the league, although he is obviously more productive when Cook is out of the lineup. However, Mattison still has fantasy value, serving as an adequate flex option in deeper PPR formats in Week 6 versus the Miami Dolphins.
