Alex Wood Pulled Early Friday As Precaution
6 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said starting pitcher Alex Wood (hamstring) was pulled early from his start on Friday as a precaution after they noticed the lefty stretching out his hamstrings during his warmups. Wood still managed to go six innings while limiting the Astros to four hits and one earned run while walking three and striking out four. The southpaw has been solid for the Dodgers with a 3.58 ERA, although he's also sporting a rather mediocre 7.81 K/9. He should be fine for his next start.
