6 years agoCincinnati Reds manager David Bell said that starting pitcher Alex Wood (back) is throwing but hasn't pitched in a game yet. "He sounded upbeat. He’s getting there," Bell said. Wood is still a ways away from making his Cincinnati debut and will still need to go on a rehab assignment before he returns. The left-hander can help fantasy owners in deep mixed leagues with innings, but he's much less attractive from a fantasy standpoint in Cincy than he was in Los Angeles. The fact that he won't pitch in the first month of the season means he's likely on most waiver wires right now.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
