Alex Bregman Starts Hitting Wednesday
6 years agoHouston Astros manager A.J. Hinch said that third baseman Alex Bregman (elbow) started hitting on Wednesday after he underwent surgery to remove loose bodies in his elbow last month. The 24-year-old (25 in March) had a breakout season in 2018, hitting .286/.394/.532 with 31 home runs, 103 RBI, 105 runs scored and 10 stolen bases in 157 games. His elbow injury shouldn't affect his availability for the start of the regular season or jeopardize his status as a draft consideration at the end of the first round.
