Alec Bohm Wins Arbitration Over Phillies
12 months agoPhiladelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm won his salary arbitration hearing over the team on Thursday and will make $4 million in 2024 instead of the $3.4 million that the Phillies proposed. This was Bohm's first year of arbitration eligibility after he slashed .274/.327/.437 with a career-high 20 home runs, 31 doubles, a career-high 97 RBI, four stolen bases and 74 runs scored in 611 trips to the plate over 145 games played last year in his fourth year in the big leagues with the Phils. The 27-year-old is ranked just inside the top 15 fantasy third baseman by RotoBaller heading into the 2024 season. He showed slightly better plate skills in 2023 but didn't hit the ball as hard. His 2023 production could be his ceiling, especially while hitting near the bottom of Philly's stacked lineup.
