Adrian Peterson Dislocates Shoulder
6 years agoWashington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson (shoulder) will receive an MRI exam on Tuesday after he dislocated his shoulder in the Monday night loss to the Saints. He told reporters he dislocated his shoulder near the end of the first half after running just four times for six yards. “I just popped it back in and braced it up at halftime,” said Peterson, who noted he hurt his shoulder after getting hit while running a flat route. “I got back in there.” It explains why he wasn't used at all in the second half with the Redskins getting blown out. Stay tuned for what his MRI results show, but Washington's backfield is pretty banged up with Chris Thompson (ribs) also getting hurt late in the game. Kapri Bibbs and Samaje Perine could be in line for some more work in Week 6.
