Adolis Garcia 2025 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Looking To Bounce Back And Regain All-Star Form
5 days agoTexas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia had a breakout 2023 season, finishing second in the American League in homers (39), RBI (107) and runs (109). 2024 wasn't as pretty, but Garcia still had a productive season and will look to bounce back in 2025. In 154 games played in 2024 (580 at-bats), Garcia slashed .224/.284/.400 while hitting 25 homers and 85 RBI and scoring 68 runs. While those numbers are not bad, they emphasize how great Garcia was the previous year. One of the key areas in which Garcia dropped off in 2024 was with his BB%. 2023 his BB% was 10.3% compared to 7.1% last season. His having a worse approach at the plate led to him finding himself in more difficult hitting situations, which is likely why his wRC+, wOBA, and ISO were much lower than during his elite 2023 campaign. It is not entirely Garcia's fault, as a much larger burden was placed on him in 2024. The Rangers had one of the best lineups in the MLB in 2023 compared to 2024. Texas was much thinner and was dealing with injuries throughout the season. Garcia finds himself in a more similar situation to last season than the one before that. The Rangers still have some productive bats in the lineup as long as Corey Seager, Josh Jung, and Evan Carter can stay healthy. However, with an extra year of tough experience under his belt, there is reason to believe he will be better. It all starts with his approach to the plate. His current NFBC ADP sits around 139.82, which aligns with his 125 overall ranking at RotoBaller. Garcia is projected to hit 28 homers and drive in 85 runs with 11 stolen bases while posting a .318 wOBA over 143 games, making him a solid pick at his current ADP.
