3 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Adbert Alzolay (hamstring) threw a light bullpen session on Wednesday, according to Cubs beat writer Meghan Montemurro. Cubs manager David Ross hasn't ruled out the possibility that Alzolay will only need the minimum amount of time on the injured list. Alzolay suffered a left hamstring strain in his last start on August 13. He was placed on the injured list after the start. If he only needs the minimum amount of time on the injured list, he could be activated as soon as August 24. Alzolay has had a rough year overall. He's made 21 starts and has gone 4-13 with a 5.16 ERA and 1.20 WHIP.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
