5 years agoKansas City Royals shortstop Adalberto Mondesi is not in the starting lineup on Friday. Nicky Lopez is at shortstop and hitting second, Whit Merrifield is at second and batting leadoff and Jorge Bonifacio is in left field and is batting seventh against Twins starting pitcher Kyle Gibson. Mondesi, 23, contributes across the board with .277/.310/.460 with six homers, 38 runs, 44 RBI and 26 stolen bases. He's been everything fantasy owners had hoped for when they drafted him high this year. Bonifacio was just called up Friday and had a .225 average with four homers and 23 RBI in 69 games with the Royals last year. He's a low-upside DFS play and will likely be outfield depth for the Royals while up in the majors.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
