3 years agoSeattle Mariners second baseman Abraham Toro is getting the day off on Tuesday as the team faces Paul Blackburn and the Oakland Athletics. Dylan Moore is getting the start at second base and batting ninth in the game. Toro has been a mainstay in the heart of the Mariners' lineup lately despite struggling immensely in September. Over 17 games this month, he's slashing .172/.250/.234 with four doubles and no home runs. He certainly made a splash after the Mariners acquired him in late July, tallying three home runs and three doubles over his first seven games with the team, but he slowed down soon after that.
