Aaron Sanchez, Reyes Moronta Making Progress
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants right-handers Aaron Sanchez (finger) and Reyes Moronta (elbow) are making progress from their respective injuries. Sanchez threw two innings (40 pitches) during a live batting practice session on Tuesday. He's been out since May 5 with biceps tendinitis and has also been battling more blister issues on his throwing hand. The 29-year-old had a nice 3.16 ERA and 1.20 WHIP with 24 strikeouts and 10 walks in six starts earlier this year, so he could once again become a streaming option in deeper leagues in the second half. Moronta threw one inning (20 pitches) of live batting practice on Tuesday. He's been out since early April with a mild UCL strain but could be a big boost to San Fran's bullpen in the second half. Moronta has very little fantasy appeal outside of extremely deep saves/holds setups.
