Aaron Judge Cracks MLB-High 30th Homer
2 days agoNew York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge continued his historic pace in Wednesday night's blowout Subway Series loss to the crosstown-rival New York Mets in Queens, becoming the first player in the major leagues to reach 30 home runs this year. After ripping a single in the fourth inning, Judge took a Danny Young sweeper right down the middle for a ride out of the ballpark to left field to cut the Yankees' deficit to 7-2 in the sixth frame. The 32-year-old superstar is matching the pace he set during his 2022 American League MVP campaign, slashing a video game-like .309/.433/.712 with 77 RBI, 23 doubles, 60 walks, and five stolen bases over 285 at-bats (80 games) for the Yankees in 2024. One can only imagine how much sillier Judge's numbers would be had he not gotten off to such a sluggish start in April.
