3 years agoFlorida Panthers defenseman Aaron Ekblad took over the top spot on the defensemen scoring list on Thursday with a two-goal, one-assist effort against the Sabres. Florida erased a three-goal deficit to win 7-4, with Ekblad scoring the third and fourth goal. His second one came on the power play. Ekblad now has 23 points in 23 games this season with a phenomenal plus-21 rating. He's been plus-11 in his past eight outings. Florida has scored 12 goals in two games this week, even with Aleksander Barkov (knee) on the shelf. They complete a three-game slate on Saturday against St. Louis.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
