A.J. Puk Throwing To Hitters
6 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher A.J. Puk (elbow) has been throwing to hitters in extended spring training. Once he's deemed ready, Puk will join a minor league affiliate to begin his 2019 season. He's recovering from Tommy John surgery and might be an option for Oakland's rotation in the second half of the season. The southpaw is the team's No. 2 prospect and No. 39 overall, per MLB Pipeline, and is also ranked as the fourth overall left-handed pitching prospect in baseball. Puk missed all of last season with his elbow injury, so expecting anything from him this year in fantasy might be a long shot. He's still worth keeping in dynasty formats for his upside.
