A.J. Pollock Out At Least Six Weeks
6 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers outfielder A.J. Pollock (elbow) will be out at least six weeks after undergoing surgery to clear up an infection in his right elbow. Doctors inserted a catheter into his left biceps to deliver antibiotics to the affected area in his right arm. The infection is near where he had surgery in 2016 to fix a broken elbow. Doctors also removed metal hardware that had stabilized his elbow. Pollock was hitting just .223 with two home runs and 14 RBI in 28 games to begin the year. Alex Verdugo will see a huge bump in value for however long Pollock is out, and he should be owned everywhere now. Pollock has speed and power, but he might not be worth hanging onto in shallow mixed leagues if you have other needs on your roster.
