A.J. Minter Activated, Bryse Wilson Sent Down
6 years agoThe Atlanta Braves activated relief pitcher A.J. Minter (shoulder) from the injured list on Thursday and optioned starting pitcher Bryse Wilson to Triple-A Gwinnett in a corresponding move. Minter filled in nicely for Arodys Vizcaino in the ninth-inning role in the second half last season and recorded 15 saves. There's a good chance he'll be in the mix for saves again this year with the Braves being cautious with Vizcaino and his right shoulder. Pick Minter up now if you're in the search for saves. Wilson gave up five hits (one homer) and four earned runs while walking four in 3 1/3 innings against the Phillies in his first start of the year. He needs more seasoning in the minors but could become a rotation option again later this season.
