49ers Make Marquise Goodwin, Others Available For Trade
5 years agoThe San Francisco 49ers want to clean up some salary cap space issues prior or during this week's draft and have made wide receiver Marquise Goodwin, defensive end Dee Ford, linebacker Kwon Alexander and safety Jaquiski Tartt available for trade, according to teams around the league. ESPN.com's Nick Wagoner reports that general manager John Lynch said there are active discussions about trading Goodwin, and the Niners have come close a few times to making a trade. Even though the 49ers clearly value Goodwin, the 29-year-old has just 35 receptions and five touchdowns the last two seasons combined in 20 games. San Fran could certainly use some upgrades at receiver, but it's looking more likely that Goodwin is playing elsewhere in 2020, where he could rehab his value. At pick No. 13 in the first round, the 49ers are one of the favorites to trade back at least once to gain more picks.
