BALLER MOVE: Start in All Formats
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR1
ANALYSIS: Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans is coming off a strong fantasy campaign in 2023, finishing as the WR5 in half-PPR formats. With Baker Mayfield back under center following a new contract, Evans should be in store for another solid fantasy season. The veteran wideout also draws a great matchup in Week 1 against the Washington Commanders.
The Commanders allowed the most fantasy points to wide receivers last year and gave up a whopping 3,167 receiving yards and 29 touchdowns to the position. While Washington's secondary will look a little different in 2024 -- with the additions of cornerback Michael Davis and safety Jeremy Chinn -- this defense still has plenty of holes entering the new season.
LEGEND: #Bucs receiver Mike Evans needs 12 touchdown receptions this season to become the fifth player in HISTORY with at least 12 touchdown receptions in six or more career seasons.

As a result, Evans is a must-start in all formats in a favorable Week 1 matchup. It remains to be seen who will draw the tough assignment against the Pro Bowl wideout in this game, but either way, the 10-year veteran should have his way versus this Washington secondary.
