BALLER MOVE: Add in two-QB leagues
OWNED IN: 0% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: In a crushing blow for the Steelers, Ben Roethlisberger will undergo surgery on his right elbow and miss the rest of the season. Mason Rudolph, the team's third-round pick in 2018, made his NFL debut in Big Ben's absence in Week 2 against the Seahawks and was 12-for-19 for 112 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. The pick was a drop by Donte Moncrief.
The 24-year-old would obviously be more attractive in fantasy if Antonio Brown and Le'Veon Bell were still in Pittsburgh, but the Oklahoma State product actually held his own in relief of Roethlisberger last Sunday. Several teammates were quick to point out that Rudolph was well-prepared and calm under pressure after the game.
Rudolph won't have the upside of Roethlisberger and probably won't be trusted to throw the ball as much by the coaching staff, but he'll be prepared and isn't afraid to take chances to help the team succeed. Those in need at the quarterback position in two-QB leagues must pick Rudolph up right away.
