BALLER MOVE: Add in 14-plus team leagues
OWNED IN: 0% of leagues
ANALYSIS: In a move that went unnoticed by a lot of fantasy owners late last week, the 49ers added Jeffery Wilson from the practice squad to the active roster with Tevin Coleman (ankle) expected to miss several weeks. San Francisco immediately used a timeshare in the backfield without Coleman in Week 2's beat down of the Bengals. Alongside Matt Breida and Raheem Mostert, Wilson got 10 carries and turned them into 34 yards and two touchdowns. He was not targeted through the air.
It's nice to see that Wilson was used for double-digit touches, but part of the reason he got so much run was because the 49ers were manhandling the Bengals on the road. A three-headed committee could be employed for as long as Coleman is out, which is why Wilson is on the waiver radar in deeper leagues. Just don't count on the increased production in the long term, and vultured touchdowns will probably be rare.
