San Francisco’s Jauan Jennings is stepping into a bigger role heading into Week 10, as Brandon Aiyuk is out for the season with a torn ACL.
Aiyuk’s absence opens the door for Jennings to become more involved in the 49ers’ passing attack, and he’s already shown he can deliver when given the chance.
Jennings could be a valuable option in PPR leagues. Let's dive into his outlook for Week 10 of the 2024 NFL season and beyond.

Will Jauan Jennings Start for the 49ers When He Returns?

Jennings will still be competing for targets with some serious playmakers: Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel Sr., George Kittle, and rookie Ricky Pearsall are all in the mix, and each brings a different dynamic to the table. Even with these big names around him, Jennings has carved out a role as a reliable, go-to option when the 49ers need to move the chains.
His size and physicality give him an edge, particularly in red-zone situations, and that’s a skill set the 49ers may lean on now with Aiyuk sidelined. Sure, it’s a crowded room, but Jennings has proven he can be effective when his number is called.
Jauan Jennings Fantasy Football Outlook
On the season, Jennings has 25 receptions for 404 yards and three touchdowns, despite missing the last two games with a hip injury. The injury is something to monitor, but if he’s back in action, he’s got plenty of upside for fantasy managers looking for a sleeper with WR2/3 potential.

With Aiyuk out, he’ll likely see an uptick in targets, and if he can deliver anything close to his Week 3 performance, he could be a game-changer down the stretch. Keep him on your radar—he’s got the opportunity, and in fantasy, that’s half the battle.
