Coming into this season, Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco was viewed as one of the NFL's better pure runners, a guy who could burst through the line, absorb contact, and make big plays.
But Pacheco exited Sunday's game against the Bengals with a leg injury. At the time he left, he was 19 carries for 90 yards as the Chiefs leaned heavily on him.
What is the extent of Isiah Pacheco's injury? Will the running back out of Rutgers miss time? Read on for the latest Isiah Pacheco injury updates.

Isiah Pacheco Injury Update for Fantasy Football
On Sunday against the Bengals, Chiefs starting running back Isiah Pacheco left the game with a leg injury. It turned out to be a fairly severe one, as Pacheco suffered a broken right fibula.
Pacheco has been placed on the Injured Reserve and is currently expected to miss six to eight weeks. It's going to be a while before we see Pacheco back on the football field.
Sources: #Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco is set to have surgery this week to repair his fractured fibula, with the plan to return this season.

So far this season, Pacheco has 34 carries for 135 yards and a touchdown and has also caught seven passes for 54 yards.
Isiah Pacheco Fantasy Football Outlook
Fantasy managers with Pacheco on their team should hold on to him through this injury, preferably by putting him in the IR spot in their fantasy league. But even if you don't have an IR spot, he's worth keeping on your bench as he's a fantasy RB1 play when healthy.
It's currently unclear how KC will fill Pacheco's role while he is out. Against the Bengals, rookie Carson Steele had seven carries, but finished with just 24 yards while losing a fumble.
Samaje Perine recently signed with the team, but he has zero carries and three targets through the first two games. We could see expanded usage for Perine, but it's not a guarantee.
Reunion? The #Chiefs are bringing in RB Kareem Hunt for a visit on Tuesday, per sources. pic.twitter.com/HQuoGOa0eT

The team is also reportedly bringing in former Chief Kareem Hunt for a visit. Hunt played for the Browns in 2023, finishing with 495 scrimmage yards.
Fantasy managers should avoid the running back situation in KC for Week 3 until we get a sense of what the splits will look like. There might be value here, but we won't know until we see the team against the Falcons on Sunday.
