The New England Patriots entered the 2023 season with a plethora of questions on offense, including significant uncertainty surrounding the tight end position.
Through two weeks, both Hunter Henry and Mike Gesicki have played key roles in the offense, but the former has been Mac Jones' preferred option in the passing game.
Is this a sign of things to come for Hunter Henry? Should you pick him up in fantasy leagues after his Week 2 showing?

What Did Hunter Henry Do In Week 2?
Henry hauled in six of seven targets for 52 yards and one touchdown against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday night. He was on the field for an impressive 92 percent of offensive snaps, which led Patriots tight ends and was second among pass-catchers (behind DeVante Parker, 100 percent).
This impressive performance from Henry built on a season opener in which he totaled five catches, 56 yards, and one touchdown, helping the Patriots' offense move down the field time and time again. So far, he truly looks like Mac Jones' most-trusted option in the passing game.
Were There Any Worrying Signs With Hunter Henry In Week 2?
The only worry with Henry is a concern that could be present all season long: the existence of Mike Gesicki. There's no denying that Gesicki is a talented tight end who can make key contributions in the passing game, which will earn him snaps in Bill O'Brien's offense. Henry isn't at risk of being supplanted as the No. 1, but he could lose some targets to the ex-Dolphin.
Should I Pick Up Hunter Henry Off the Waiver Wire in Fantasy Football?
Right now, Henry ranks second among all NFL tight ends in fantasy points. He has two touchdowns through two games and, as mentioned, might be the most valuable and trusted receiving option in the Patriots' offense. His snap share will not subside in future weeks, and he will continue to earn a significant dose of targets every game.
As a result, Henry is absolutely worth adding in leagues where he's still available. The 28-year-old isn't a one-week streamer, but rather a consistent top-10 fantasy tight end on a weekly basis. He should be started in all formats against the Jets in Week 3.
