ANALYSIS: It's Week 11, and injuries aside, the backfield role filled by Los Angeles Chargers running back Gus Edwards hasn't changed. The lead back is still J.K. Dobbins, and while his scoring and volume depend heavily on game script, he's maintained that role consistently.

Edwards doesn't have a pass-catching or goal line role this season, meaning his fantasy value is severely restricted, especially in PPR leagues. He's unlikely to gain any standalone value this season, and the only scenario in which he gets a meaningful amount of touches is one in which Dobbins isn't in the picture.
It's disappointing to see his specialty handled by other backs, but the reality of the NFL is that things change quickly. Whatever hope fantasy managers had of the former Baltimore Raven becoming a touchdown vulture with his new team should be dashed now. This late in the season, the hierarchies of backfields are mostly set.
