BALLER MOVE: Start in Superflex Formats
POSITIONAL VALUE: QB2
ANALYSIS: Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith had a subpar fantasy year in 2023, finishing as the QB19 and averaging 15.7 fantasy points per game. But Smith will have a great matchup to kick off his 2024 campaign, facing a Denver Broncos defense in Week 1 that lost veterans like Justin Simmons in the secondary.
As a result, Smith is a strong QB2 option in Superflex formats this week. The Broncos gave up 17.1 fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks and 29 passing touchdowns last season. Those 29 passing touchdowns were the fifth-most a defense allowed in 2023. So, the Seahawks quarterback should be in for a solid fantasy day.

In one-quarterback leagues, Smith should likely only be started in 20-plus team leagues. However, he is a nice start as your QB2 in most Superflex formats in Week 1.
