Giants center fielder Denard Span went 4-for-4 and scored two runs in Saturday's 5-3 victory over Arizona. Span has been red hot as of late, picking up nine hits in his last 17 at bats. Fantasy owners rejoice! Span entered the month of May with an uncharacteristic line of .256/.358/.344, but has managed to bring it to .280/.377/.371 just 15 days into the month of May. While fantasy managers shouldn't expect much in the RBI column from Span, the San Francisco leadoff man has great OBP skills, evidenced by a career .353 mark. Combine the plate discipline with his .287 career batting average and the strong supporting cast the Giants have placed behind him, and owners should expect Span to be a premium source of runs for the rest of the season.
