ANALYSIS: The 22-year-old product from LSU didn't do much with Blake Bortles at quarterback in his rookie season, catching only 14 passes for 174 yards and no touchdowns in 11 games. Through two games in 2019, though, D.J. Chark is just three catches shy of last year's total and has already surpassed his yardage (201) and scored twice.
All of Jacksonville's skill players took a hit to their fantasy value when Nick Foles broke his collarbone in the season opener, but it was encouraging that rookie backup Gardner Minshew targeted Chark a team-high nine times (seven catches, 55 yards and a TD) in Week 2 against the Texans.
Minshew and Chark developed some chemistry in the preseason and after one full game with Minshew under center, it looks like Chark is his go-to weapon in the passing game. It makes Chark the Jaguars' most attractive fantasy receiver for now, but it was also a one-game sample size and Jacksonville remains a run-first unit.
