San Francisco 49ers running back Isaac Guerendo (foot) is dealing with a foot injury, but has shown incredible potential in his limited action this season. Due to injuries to the other backs on the team's roster, he's been thrust into a starting role, and he's immediately capitalized on it.
The first-year player from Louisville has already made it clear that he's extremely athletically gifted, and that talent has translated into immediate production. In his first game with the two RBs ahead of him on the roster injured, he rushed 15 times for 78 yards and two touchdowns and caught both of his targets for 50 receiving yards.
So, what is Guerendo's fantasy football outlook moving forward? Should you start him in Week 15?

Isaac Guerendo Fantasy Football Outlook
Guerendo is dealing with a foot injury right now, but preliminary indications are that it's not serious. He's actually expected to play on Thursday Night Football.

His fantasy football outlook is very simple -- he can win you your leagues. He was completely overlooked in this year's NFL Draft despite incredibly physical talent he possesses, and he's underrated in the other areas of his game, like vision, patience, anticipation, and decision-making.
Guerendo is simply a better player than 2nd-stringer Jordan Mason (ankle) and Christian McCaffrey (knee) dealing with the after-effects of Achilles tendonitis. It didn't take much time to realize that. In the NFL, speed kills, and the rookie has incredible acceleration to go along with excellent size.
Sometimes it really is that simple. The most athletically gifted RB to come out of college in many years in a good offensive system can smash. He's able to burst through the smallest creases, outrun the inside-crashing linebackers, and get to the second level often. Sometimes, it seems like every carry is a guaranteed 4-6 yards.
Should I Start Isaac Guerendo in Week 15?
Yes, you should start him. In general, extremely athletic running backs with great acceleration in Shanahan-esque offensive systems are absolute dynamite. It's strange that he didn't get more opportunities this season. It's been apparent since the first game he got significant touches in that he could be a league-winner.

Of course, in fantasy football, it's easy to write off rookies, and dismiss people who rightfully brand a freshman player a "league-winner" as too hasty, crazy, etc. But 26.8 PPR fantasy points on 56% of the team's offensive snaps is not something you can argue with. Guerendo is a league-winner and has played better than both Mason and McCaffrey this season. Start him.
