BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues

ANALYSIS: Akers took over as the Texans RB1 this past week with Joe Mixon and Dameon Pierce sidelined. Unfortunately, things did not go well as Akers only averaged 2.33 yards per carry and was game-scripted out when Houston fell behind Minnesota.
He did manage to find the endzone for his fantasy managers.

The touchdown ultimately didn’t do much to save his fantasy day as he finished as the RB29 on the week. Mixon and Pierce’s status for Week 4 is currently unknown. Should they both miss another game, Akers would find himself in a position to be the starter again.
Houston draws the Jacksonville Jaguars this Week. Jacksonville currently ranks 30th in defensive rush DVOA so this could be a matchup where Akers can exceed expectations.
Akers is worth an add in case Mixon is forced out of action for another week. He’s not worth a large amount of FAAB or burning a top waiver claim on as he’s very much a short-term play. The fifth-year back will be good for another spot start this week as a flex play if he gets another shot to lead Houston’s backfield.
