Travis Benjamin Not Playing Against Bills
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Travis Benjamin (foot) is inactive in Week 2 against the Bills. Benjamin was a game-time decision for this one, but he won't suit up. His absence is good news for Tyrell Williams and Mike Williams in a great matchup against a Buffalo defense that got smoked by the Ravens in […]
Keith Hernandez 6 years agoJordan Leggett Inactive
New York Jets tight end Jordan Leggett is inactive in Week 2 against the Dolphins. Leggett is a healthy scratch and is behind tight ends Eric Tomlinson, Neal Sterling and rookie Christopher Herndon IV. Leggett is obviously not worth owning in fantasy leagues.
Keith Hernandez 6 years agoKalen Ballage A Healthy Scratch
Miami Dolphins rookie running back Kalen Ballage remains inactive in Week 2 against the Jets. Quarterback David Fales is also a healthy scratch. Ballage has nice upside in this backfield, but he's well behind starters Kenyan Drake and Frank Gore, making him not worth owning in single-year leagues.
Keith Hernandez 6 years agoAntonio Callaway Set To Start
Cleveland Browns rookie wide receiver Antonio Callaway is set to start in Week 2 against the Saints with the team looking to trade or release Josh Gordon (hamstring), who is inactive. Callaway's fantasy stock is obviously on the rise now that Gordon is out of the picture. He had no catches in the season opener, […]
Keith Hernandez 6 years agoBlaine Gabbert Warming Up With Starters
Tennessee Titans quarterback Blaine Gabbert is taking snaps with the starters in warmups before the Week 2 game against the Texans. Marcus Mariota (elbow) is active but is dealing with a pinched nerve in his elbow and may not play much, if at all, in this game. Mariota should obviously be avoided by fantasy owners, […]
Keith Hernandez 6 years agoAaron Rodgers Wearing Large Brace
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (knee) is wearing a large brace on his left knee during warmups on Sunday. He will play against the Vikings, but this is a very tough matchup and Rodgers is clearly at less than 100 percent with an injury that could cause him to leave the game at some […]
Keith Hernandez 6 years agoBen Roethlisberger Is Active
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (elbow) is active for Week 2 against the Chiefs. Offensive guard David DeCastro (hand) and cornerback Joe Haden (hamstring) are inactive. Wide receiver Justin Hunter and quarterback Mason Rudolph are healthy scratches. Big Ben was always expected to play in this one, and he has a great matchup against the […]
Keith Hernandez 6 years agoEric Berry Not Playing
Kansas City Chiefs safety Eric Berry (heel) is inactive in Week 2 against the Steelers. Running back Darrel Williams (shoulder) is also inactive. Berry hasn't practiced since early August and doesn't look close to returning at all. For a Chiefs secondary that is already week, his absence is a blow to this defense. Steelers quarterback […]
Keith Hernandez 6 years agoJason Pierre-Paul Active Against Eagles
Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul (knee) is active in Week 2 against the Eagles. This is good news for a Bucs defensive front that will rely heavily on JPP to get pressure on the opposing quarterback. Although Eagles quarterback Nick Foles has a much better matchup this weekend, having Pierre-Paul in the fold […]
Keith Hernandez 6 years agoRonald Jones II A Healthy Scratch
Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie running back Ronald Jones II is inactive in Week 2 against the Eagles as a healthy scratch. Jones was a disaster in the preseason and has fallen down the depth chart as a result behind Peyton Barber, Jacquizz Rodgers and fellow rookie Shaun Wilson. Jones should still be stashed in dynasty […]
Keith Hernandez 6 years agoDeSean Jackson Active In Week 2
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver DeSean Jackson (concussion, shoulder) passed his concussion tests and is active in Week 2 against his old team, the Eagles. Jackson went off for 146 yards and two touchdowns in Week 1, but he'll be facing a much tougher secondary this weekend, making him a boom-or-bust WR4/flex play for his […]
Keith Hernandez 6 years agoDeAndre Hopkins, Will Fuller Active
Houston Texans wide receivers DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) and Will Fuller (hamstring) are both active in Week 2 against the Titans. Hopkins is an elite WR1 and is a must-start anytime he's playing. Fuller sat out in Week 1, so he'll be making his season debut. He clicked in a big way with quarterback Deshaun Watson […]
Keith Hernandez 6 years agoPaul Richardson Active Against Colts
Washington Redskins wide receiver Paul Richardson (shoulder) is active for Week 2 against the Colts. Wide receiver Maurice Harris and running back Samaje Perine are out. Richardson had four catches for just 22 yards on six targets in the season opener but has a solid matchup this weekend against Indy's secondary. Still, he's likely behind […]
Keith Hernandez 6 years agoChristine Michael A Healthy Scratch
Indianapolis Colts running back Christine Michael is inactive in Week 2 against the Redskins. With Marlon Mack returning to make his season debut, Michael is the odd man out behind rookies Jordan Wilkins and Nyheim Hines. The Colts should work Mack back into the rotation in this committee backfield, and while he should see most […]
Keith Hernandez 6 years agoJadeveon Clowney Not Playing Sunday
Houston Texans defensive end Jadeveon Clowney (back, elbow) is inactive for Week 2 against the Titans. It's a blow for the Texans in a great matchup against a beat up Titans offensive line. Houston should still be able to push forward with success, but Clowney's IDP owners are bummed, as this was a matchup that […]
Keith Hernandez 6 years agoDavante Adams Active Against Vikings
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams (shoulder) is active in Week 2 against the Vikings. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers (knee) will also play, so that's good news for Adams. The bad news is Rodgers will be less than 100 percent and Adams is facing a very tough matchup in Minnesota's sticky secondary. Temper your expectations […]
Keith Hernandez 6 years agoAaron Rodgers Active
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (knee) is active for Week 2 against the Vikings. "He has a pretty unusual injury that would keep most people out awhile," one source told ESPN. Rodgers was told this week that his left knee injury could take up to a couple of months to heal, but he doesn't […]
Keith Hernandez 6 years agoMarcus Mariota Active But Could Be Limited
Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota (elbow) is active for Week 2 against the Texans, but he did not do much in pre-game warmups and he continues to struggle with gripping the football. Mariota is dealing with a pinched nerve in his throwing elbow and still has not regained complete feeling in his fingers, according to […]
Keith Hernandez 6 years agoJay Ajayi Expected To See Bigger Workload
Philadelphia Eagles running back Jay Ajayi is expected to see a bigger workload with Darren Sproles (hamstring) inactive for Week 2 against the Buccaneers. Wendell Smallwood and Corey Clement will also see some touches. Ajayi is a strong RB2 this weekend and should see more consistent touches than he did in the season opener.
Keith Hernandez 6 years agoMarcus Cannon Ruled Out
New England Patriots right tackle Marcus Cannon (calf) and defensive back Keion Crossen (hamstring) have both been ruled out for Week 2 against the Jaguars. It's bad news for a Patriots team already dealing with injuries to running backs Rex Burkhead (concussion) and Sony Michel (knee). The Patriots figure to do a lot of short […]
Keith Hernandez 6 years agoShaquill Griffin Will Play Monday
Seattle Seahawks cornerback Shaquill Griffin (thigh) will play on Monday against the Bears, according to head coach Pete Carroll. That's good news with Tre Flowers (hamstring) already ruled out. Still, Seattle's secondary is weakened despite safety Earl Thomas' presence. It's good news for Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky and his receiving weapons on Monday night.
Keith Hernandez 6 years agoChristian Kirk, Chad Williams To Be More Involved
Arizona Cardinals wide receivers Christian Kirk and Chad Williams figure to get more opportunities to produce in Week 2 against the Rams after they both had quiet debuts in Week 1. The Cardinals could be playing a lot of catch-up against Los Angeles, too, forcing the Cardinals to throw the ball often. Still, both Kirk […]

The Cleveland Browns said free-agent wide receiver Dez Bryant's name hasn't "come up around the building lately," and the team is not sure that he wants to play football, according to a team source. Bryant's name will surely come up again now that the team is trading or releasing receiver Josh Gordon, but Bryant still […]
