Alshon Jeffery returned to action on Sunday for the Chicago Bears, posting a stat line of eight receptions for 147 yards and a touchdown.
He garnered 11 targets from Jay Cutler in a shootout with the Detroit Lions, and while his stellar effort was squandered in an overtime loss, the Bears have to feel good seeing their star receiver back out there making plays.
Not only did he deliver on the stat sheet, but he was able to draw a few big pass interference calls as Lions' defensive backs struggled to keep up with Jeffery. Not only was he making the catches, but those calls showed that his legs were back under him as defender's tried in vain to keep up with him on several sideline fly routes where he was able to blow past them.
The Bears will head into their bye week with plenty of work to do, but luckily now it doesn't appear that trying to build a gameplan without their star wide receiver is one of them. Eddie Royal and Martellus Bennett were also on the field for the Bears, which is notable because they were questionable heading into Week 6.
Week 8's home game against the Minnesota Vikings won't be easy, but they should have all of their offensive weapons ready to go.
