3 years agoUpdating a previous report, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have not yet placed a franchise tag on wide receiver Chris Godwin. Godwin and the Buccaneers are currently attempting to work out a long-term contract for the star receiver. If the Bucs are unable to land a long-term deal with Godwin prior to Tuesday's 4 PM tag deadline, then the team will opt to use their franchise tag on him. Godwin is in the midst of recovering from a torn ACL this past December. He'll certainly be back in a Buccaneers jersey next year, it's just a question of his contract terms at this point.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
