Cowboys Place Franchise Tag On Dalton Schultz
3 years agoThe Dallas Cowboys placed the franchise tag on tight end Dalton Schultz. Dallas will work on a long-term extension with the tight end, who will play the 2022 season for $10.93 million. The 25-year-old set career-highs across the board in 2021, catching 78 passes on 104 targets for 808 yards and eight touchdowns over 17 games in 2021. With Blake Jarwin (hip) unlikely to be ready for the start of next season, Schultz becomes a borderline TE1 and could see even more targets in 2022 if Dallas decides to move on and release wide receiver, Amari Cooper.
