Patriots Reportedly Inquire About Robby Anderson
3 years agoThe New England Patriots have inquired about Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson. According to Joe, Person of The Athletic, the conversation was exploratory and nothing imminent at this point. In his second season in Carolina, Anderson was below-average, managing just 53 catches on 110 targets for 519 yards and five scores over 17 games. Despite a lackluster campaign, the 28-year-old is a deep threat and would instantly upgrade a Patriots wide receiver corps including Kendrick Bourne, Nelson Agholor, and Jakobi Meyers. New England did try to convince Anderson to sign with the Patriots in 2020 before he ultimately agreed to a deal with the Panthers. A change of scenery would help Anderson, but the former New York Jet is merely a low-upside WR4/5 in fantasy, even with a trade to New England.
