Tre'Quan Smith Not At Practice Wednesday
3 years agoNew Orleans Saints wide receiver Tre'Quan Smith (chest) was unable to take part in practice on Wednesday. Smith played 14 offensive snaps in the Monday night loss to the Miami Dolphins before departing with a chest injury and never returning. The 25-year-old wasn't targeted at all by rookie quarterback Ian Book, who was making his first career start. Smith could be facing an uphill battle to play in Week 17 against the Carolina Panthers. The good news for the Saints offense is that quarterback Taysom Hill is back from the COVID-19 list, but fantasy managers have found it hard to trust any of the New Orleans pass-catchers on a consistent basis in 2021. Marquez Callaway is your best bet, while Lil'Jordan Humphrey and Kenny Stills would see expanded roles if Smith is unable to play on Sunday afternoon.
