Darrell Henderson Jr. Placed On Injured Reserve
3 years agoLos Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay said that running back Darrell Henderson Jr. (knee) is going on Injured Reserve due to an MCL injury that he suffered in the Week 16 win over the Minnesota Vikings. Henderson had just one carry for 17 yards on Sunday before leaving the game, and he saw only six carries for 23 yards in his return the previous week. In Henderson's absence, Sony Michel took over the lead-back duties and has looked great for the Rams. In four straight starts, Michel has 89 rushing attempts for 423 yards (4.75 yards per carry) and two touchdowns, adding six receptions for 35 yards on 11 targets. Although Cam Akers and rookie Jake Funk could be involved moving forward with Henderson on the shelf, Michel should remain LA's lead back, and he'll carry RB1 upside into a Week 17 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens and their banged-up defense.
