Broncos Defense An Attractive Option Against Raiders
3 years agoThe Denver Broncos defense allowed a season-high 34 points in Week 6 against the Las Vegas Raiders. But since then, they've stiffened up considerably and have allowed 22 or more points only twice in the eight games since that loss to the Raiders. In the other six games, they haven't allowed more than 17 points. Even after trading star pass-rusher Von Miller, the Broncos D is in the top five in both points and yards allowed. The return of Bradley Chubb has helped boost a formidable defensive line, and Denver's secondary is among the best in the league with rookie first-round cornerback Patrick Surtain and All-Pro safety Justin Simmons. Against a Raiders offense not likely to have tight end Darren Waller (back, knee) this time around, the Broncos defense is in play as a streaming unit with upside in Week 16.
