Amari Cooper Voices Frustration Over Offensive Struggles
3 years agoDallas Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper voiced his frustration with the team's offensive struggles in recent weeks on Thursday. "I think I can do more in the red zone if I get some targets. I can do more on third down if I get the targets. To help the offense be what we need to be, I think I can definitely help change that," Cooper said. In three games since Cooper returned from a two-game absence due to COVID-19, he has just nine catches on 14 targets for 100 yards and a touchdown. His lone touchdown came two weeks ago against the same Washington Football Team that Dallas will face this Sunday night. Quarterback Dak Prescott hasn't played very well since returning from a calf injury in Week 9, and Michael Gallup's presence pretty much has made Cooper a touchdown-dependent WR3/flex.
