Leonard Fournette Placed On Injured Reserve
3 years agoIn a move that was expected, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers placed running back Leonard Fournette (hamstring) on Injured Reserve on Thursday, which will knock him out for the final three games of the regular season. Fantasy managers that have rode Fournette all this way sadly won't have him in the final push for a fantasy title. Entering Week 16 action, Fournette was the RB5 in fantasy with 180 carries for 812 yards and eight touchdowns, adding an NFL-high 69 receptions for 454 yards and an additional two TDs on a league-high 84 targets. Ronald Jones II will now take over lead-back duties in Tampa and will immediately have RB1 upside on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers. Ke'Shawn Vaughn and the recently signed Le'Veon Bell will fight for change-of-pace duties with Giovani Bernard still on IR.
