Jakeem Grant Sr. Suffers Concussion, Won't Return Monday
3 years agoChicago Bears wide receiver/kick returner Jakeem Grant Sr. (head) suffered a concussion in the first half of the Monday night game against the Minnesota Vikings and will not return. The Bears were already without Allen Robinson II and Marquise Goodwin (foot) coming into this game, so they are extremely thin at the receiver position. Darnell Mooney currently leads the team with three catches for 42 yards. Grant provided a spark for the Bears offense the previous two weeks by catching his first two touchdowns of the year, but he wasn't targeted in the passing game and had two carries for 17 yards before his injury Monday night. Mooney, tight end Cole Kmet and Damiere Byrd will need to step up for Chicago with Grant out the rest of the night.
