Giants Not Naming A Starting QB For Week 16
3 years agoNew York Giants head coach Joe Judge isn't declaring a starting quarterback for Week 16 against the Philadelphia Eagles. Judge said the team will evaluate Mike Glennon and Jake Fromm this week in practice before making a final decision. Glennon was predictably bad once again in the Week 15 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, going 13-for-24 for 99 yards, no touchdowns and three interceptions before being benched for Fromm late in the fourth quarter. In three starts for the injured Daniel Jones (neck), the 32-year-old Glennon hasn't thrown for 200 yards and has two touchdowns and five interceptions. Now that Jones will miss the rest of the season, it makes more sense for the Giants to go with Fromm, who played for the first time in an NFL game on Sunday and looked better than Glennon right away. We'd expect Fromm to get the nod, but he'll be a bottom-of-the-barrel QB2 against Philly.
