Melvin Gordon III Won't Practice
3 years agoDenver Broncos running back Melvin Gordon III (thumb) will not practice to begin the week on Wednesday. Gordon injured his thumb in the Week 14 win over the Detroit Lions, but he returned to action and finished with 111 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries. The 28-year-old was held out the previous week with hip and shoulder injuries, but he returned last Sunday to out-carry impressive rookie Javonte Williams. Gordon is expected to be fine to play in Week 15 against the Cincinnati Bengals as long as he returns to practice later this week. The Broncos showed their hand with Gordon and Williams splitting the backfield work yet again against Detroit, so there's no reason to think that will change if Gordon plays this weekend. He'll be an RB2 against Cincy.
