Trevor Lawrence Lobbies For More James Robinson
3 years agoJacksonville Jaguars rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence made it clear to the coaching staff that running back James Robinson needs to be on the field as much as possible. Robinson is the team's best offensive player, but he's been off the field for 16 and 20 consecutive plays the last two games after fumbling. "James is one of our best players and he's got to be in the game," Lawrence said. Robinson has rushed for 678 yards and seven touchdowns and is averaging 4.9 yards per carry compared to Carlos Hyde's 251 yards, one TD and 3.5 yards per carry. Along with the fumbling-related in-game benching, the Jaguars say that they continue to manage Robinson's heel and knee injuries. As long as the Jaguars coaching staff uses Robinson like they should, he will be firmly in the RB2 mix in Week 14 against the Tennessee Titans.
