Ezekiel Elliott's Knee Won't Be Good For Another 3-4 Weeks
3 years agoDallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott said his injured knee isn't expected to be good for another three or four weeks after last week's MRI exam. Elliott said it's "perfect timing" with the playoffs starting shortly after that. Elliott's knee hasn't been scoped, and there are no plans for it to be scoped in the offseason. You can tell that Zeke isn't right when he carries the football. His knee injury started bothering him in Week 4, and he's seen single-digit carries in two of the last three games as the Cowboys look to lower his workload down the stretch. Tony Pollard outshined Elliott in last Thursday's win over the New Orleans Saints and just looks way more explosive at the point of attack. Elliott should be more of a low-end RB2 play this weekend against a Washington Football Team defense that is allowing the third-fewest rushing yards per game (91.3).
