As fantasy football managers are preparing their lineups for Week 14, some injury situations remain open and will be important factors for fantasy managers to set winning lineups and make the right decisions.
Let's check in on the injuries for the Jacksonville Jaguars running backs and their Week 14 Sunday morning game on the road against the Tennessee Titans.
Will James Robinson play this weekend? If Robinson is in line to be limited or inactive, should I pick up and start Carlos Hyde? Below we take a quick look at the updated injury status for Robinson and attempt to answer these questions.

Will James Robinson Play in Week 14 Against the Titans?
James Robinson was limited in practice to start the week, and was originally listed as questionable to play. But on Friday he was removed from the injury report, and should be good to go for the Week 14 game against the Tennessee Titans:
This is an update to the original report on Robinson's injury status below, based on additional news reported later in the week.
Is James Robinson Still Injured? Week 14 Injury Updates
Robinson injured his heel in Week 8, missed the Week 9 game as a result, and has been listed with heel and knee injuries ever since. However, he hasn't missed a game since Week 9 despite being listed as questionable on the final injury reports.
It would be a surprise if Robinson wasn't on the Week 14 injury report, and he could even sit out several practices before returning to a limited session to close out the week. But barring a setback, we'd expect him to be active on Sunday against Tennessee.
Is Carlos Hyde Worth Picking Up Off The Waiver Wire?
Last week Carlos Hyde saw nine carries -- his second-highest total of the season behind his 21-carry day when he started for the injured Robinson in Week 9 -- and scored his first touchdown of the year in Week 13.
Robinson is clearly not 100%, but he was also kept off the field more than normal last Sunday after losing a fumble. The 31-year-old Hyde is worth picking up off the waiver wire, but probably only as a backup and insurance policy to Robinson. Hyde is averaging just 3.5 yards per carry and had 3.19 yards per tote on 21 carries in his Week 9 start. He's rostered in only 12% of Yahoo leagues.
Should I Start James Robinson or Carlos Hyde in Week 14?
First of all, when starting any Jaguars player in fantasy, keep this in mind:
Scenario 1: Robinson is active and starts, as he has in all but one game this year. This is most likely to happen, and we would expect him to see more than the eight carries he had in last week's loss to the Rams. The Titans have been solid against the run in 2021, but the Jaguars should have an easier time staying competitive, as Tennessee's offense is extremely thin at WR. Robinson would be a solid RB2 if he plays.
Scenario 2: Hyde gets his second start of the year and Robinson is inactive. Because of the added volume alone, Hyde would be in consideration as an RB3/flex in standard-scoring leagues. Hyde got shut down by the Buffalo Bills in his Week 9 start, and as was mentioned earlier, he's posted an uninspiring 3.5 yards per carry on 71 rushing attempts this year.
