No Practice For David Johnson Wednesday
3 years agoHouston Texans running back David Johnson (illness, thigh) did not take part in Wednesday's practice. Johnson limped off the field in the Week 12 loss to the New York Jets with a thigh issue, but he returned to the game and should be fine to play in Week 13 against the Indianapolis Colts if he can practice later this week. The Texans have run the ball more in the last two games, which has allowed Johnson to reach double-digit carries in back-to-back games for the first two times all season, but as long as he continues to split touches with Rex Burkhead in this non-explosive offense, he'll have a low ceiling as more of an RB4/flex. Johnson is averaging an ugly 3.1 yards per carry and has just one touchdown on the year, a receiving score back in Week 1.
