Amari Cooper Expected To Play Thursday Night
3 years agoUpdating a previous report, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper is expected to travel with the team to New Orleans on Wednesday and play against the Saints on Thursday night, according to a source. Cooper, who is unvaccinated, tested positive for COVID-19 and has missed the last two games. The 27-year-old remains on the COVID-19 list, but it sounds as though the Cowboys are expecting him to be cleared in time for Thursday's game. Cooper's return will lower the ceiling and floor of Michael Gallup, but there's also the question of whether Cooper will have his snaps limited after contracting the virus and missing the last two games. The Saints have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to WRs per game this year, but the fact that CeeDee Lamb (concussion) should be back on Thursday as well, will make Cooper a highly volatile WR3/flex in his return.
