Ezekiel Elliott Practices In Full Tuesday
3 years agoDallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott (knee) practiced in full for the second straight day on Tuesday, and it was reported earlier on Tuesday that owner Jerry Jones expects Elliott to handle a serious offensive load on Thursday night against the New Orleans Saints. This comes after a report over the weekend that suggested the Cowboys could rest the 26-year-old so that he can get past a knee injury that has been bothering him more in recent weeks. Elliott has exactly nine carries in each of the last two games and has run for 57 total yards (3.17 yards per carry) and one touchdown in that span. It's great that he's practiced in full this week, but fantasy managers should temper expectations on Thursday against one of the best run defenses in the NFL. Consider Elliott more of an RB2 heading into Week 13, with Tony Pollard potentially in line for a bigger workload.
