Jared Goff Active And Expected To Start
3 years agoDetroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff (oblique) is active and expected to start on Thanksgiving against the Chicago Bears on Thursday. The Lions were optimistic all week that Goff would return under center after he was held out of the Week 11 loss to the Cleveland Browns with a strained oblique. He might not be 100%, but Goff gives the team a better chance to snag their first win over Tim Boyle/David Blough. The Bears defense isn't all that scary minus Khalil Mack (foot), who is out for the season, but Goff doesn't have many weapons on offense and hasn't put up great numbers in fantasy in his first year in Detroit. The 27-year-old has thrown for 2,109 yards, eight touchdowns and six interceptions in nine games this year. Goff will remain a low-end, low-upside QB2.
